APPEALS: If you feel has inaccurately determined your eligibility for tax credits, or is having trouble processing your application, you can appeal the decision. There is a special rule that allows individuals who win their appeals to have their health insurance coverage retroactively applied back to when the coverage should have started.

Problems with insurance after you bought it

STEP ONE: Contact your insurance company or agent and bring the problem to their attention. Document your phone calls by noting the name of the person you speak to, the date of the call and a brief summary of the conversation. Keep copies of all written communications.
